Ellie Clift is the 16 year old daughter of Bryan and Jana Clift. Ellie is from Stratford and an incoming Junior with Acellus Academy, a homeschool program. Ellie has two older sisters, Kaytly and Morgan. Ellie lives on the family farm where they raise cattle, hay, and horses. She enjoys spending time with her family whether it is helping them on the farm, heading to a rodeo, or working in the branding pen.
She currently competes in pole bending, breakaway, and team roping with the Texas High School Rodeo Association and The Junior Rodeo Cowboy Association. She is very proud of her equine team, Pepper and Lacy. They helped her qualify for the state finals with the Texas High School Rodeo Association in poles. Ellie is a three time qualifier in the poles with Texas High School Rodeo. In the summer, she competes in local playdays around the Texas Panhandle like the Dalhart XIT Rangers, the Silver Spurs Rodeo Club, and the Moore County Playdays.
Between all the rodeos, playdays, and farmwork, she recently took on a new project working with two colts and a filly named, Anne. Ellie is active in Sherman County 4-H competing at livestock shows and District 1 events. She is excited to be a part of the XIT family this year and can’t wait to see what the rest of her reign holds.
